October Fest

I love fall - all of the beautiful colors, the crisp night air and the three birthdays we celebrate in our house! This is my 20, 15, 10 month!!! The fourth birthday is in February - he'll be 17!

The lovely, Rita over at Toltec Jewels  and  Jewel School Friends is hosting October Fest today and celebrating her birthday - Happy Birthday!!

Now, I will admit that I completely forgot about this reveal - I signed up for it and *poof*,  I forgot about it! Thankfully, I was working on some Halloween jewelry over the weekend. Sometimes I forget to take pictures, so I'll have to go back over to Zodiac to get pictures of the earrings - I love how they turned out!

Here is what my Saturday looked like - 13 kids and a Nerf birthday party - our back yard is a much safer place now!!  :)

The cake my son picked out - I love it!!

This is what Sunday looked like - time to have indoor fun at Skyzone !!

I took this picture three years ago - now it comes out every Halloween

Other fall happenings included dragons at How to Train your Dragon-Live Spectacular and zombies at the Zombie Buffet 5k.

I can't wait to see what November brings .............................. :)

Now go on and enjoy all of the fall loveliness at these wonderful blogs

So Proud of My Son.......

Tonight, my 14 year old, Alex, graduated from the Westerville Youth Police Academy (did I say I'm proud of him!!). He was in Class 5 of this wonderful program, that teaches the cadets all areas of police work. It has been a week long program that he thoroughly enjoyed, since he's known that he wants to be a police officer since he was 3! Next, he'll go on to the Explorer's program which goes more in-depth into police work.

There was an article in today's The Columbus Dispatch about the program

St Patty's Day

After I dropped one son off at COSI to work for the day, two of my boys and I walked to the North Market for lunch and then stayed to watch the St. Patrick's Day parade in downtown Columbus

the North Market has a variety of food vendors

Columbus Mayor Michael Coleman
Love the kilt!!
every parade needs a balloon leprechaun
Arnold Schwarzenegger dressed in his St. Patty's Day attire

Irish Stew, bread from the North Market and a Guinness

My Christmas Present

I only want one present from my boys - yes, it can be torturous (their perspective), but it's not expensive. The one and only present I ask for (every year) is a picture with Santa. We kept putting off the inevitable, and went this morning to get the picture taken. I was surprised that, at 10am, the mall was not crowded at all! We did have to wait for about an hour for our turn with the Big Guy, but the picture turned out GREAT!

Love Santas face in this one - not sure what he was thinking, but I should have asked!

A Walk in the Woods

In the fall, I love going for long walks at the local park and taking pictures of my boys. But, my favorite part of these walks is all the talking we do - and all the laughing!!

Here are a few shots of my fellas.................

Recap of the Week

It's been one of our busier weeks this summer.................

                                                           Magic Mountain

                                                               Sky Zone

                                                        the Ohio State Fair

Deep-fried Snickers - we also tried deep-fried Twinkies and Three Musketeers with a little heartburn on the side. Maybe that's why the boys didn't want to go on any rides??!

                               I'm thinking Christmas card................................ :)
